Depending on your level of education and experience, and whether you are already licensed in another jurisdiction outside of New Brunswick, there are different pathways to becoming licensed as an Architect with the AANB.

Education
A professional master's degree in architecture is the starting point for licensure.
Certification (CACB)
Your academic qualifications must be certified by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board, the recognized national standard and a prerequisite for the internship program. Begin certification on the CACB website.
Internship in Architecture Program (IAP)
The IAP is the supervised pathway to licensure. It pairs documented work experience under a mentor with the national examinations for architects.
