MANDATORY CONTINUING EDUCATION

At the October 2000 Annual General Meeting of the Architects’ Association of New Brunswick, members voted ‘in principle’ to adopt a Mandatory Continuing Education Program for the Association commencing January 1, 2002. It was also agreed that this program would be cost effective and locally attainable. This program is also to be developed in conjunction with the National Framework being developed by the National Practice Program (NPP).

In keeping with this motion the AANB Continuing Education Committee, Chaired by Pamela Barteaux, has moved the program one step further and developed the requirements in, what is called, the first cycle. This first cycle represents a 24 month period beginning January 1, 2002 and ending December 31, 2003.
